Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Petul, conveniently situated between Essen Hbf and Zollverein, I was captivated by the hotel's culinary offerings and delightful ambiance. As a marine biologist who often finds solace in the serene depths of the ocean, exploring the delicate flavors created by Chef Klein was a treat for my palate. The smoke-free environment is refreshing, and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast spread; it provided a nurturing start that encouraged long conversations over cool drinks. The on-site bar, Cafe Pauelsen, is an inviting spot to unwind after a day of exploration, where I found myself enjoying intriguing discussions with other guests amidst a relaxed atmosphere. The terrace and garden areas offered a tranquil escape, highlighting the hotel's focus on relaxation and connectivity with nature. As a tall individual, the comfort of the bed ensured a rejuvenating night's sleep, setting the pace for another day. The Petul offers a well-balanced experience, combining comfort and culinary innovation, making it ideal for those traveling to explore the region. It beckons both food enthusiasts and travelers seeking a restful haven in Essen.
